Leeds United are reportedly drawing up a shortlist of candidates to take over from Jesse Marsch, with the manager under mounting pressure.

Leeds find themselves in the thick of another relegation battle this season as they remain just outside the bottom three around the halfway point.

A turn in form could see Leeds climb well away from the bottom three debate, but plenty are pointing to the manager as the thing stopping them from doing so.

A defeat to Aston Villa brought huge discontent from the away section of the fans, as well as from those watching on from elsewhere, seeing Leeds beaten by two poor goals that were symbolic of the shortcomings of Marsch’s system for the Whites.

Leeds’ attempts to divert away from the defensive weakness of Marcelo Bielsa’s reign, while retaining the attacking brilliance, haven’t been long-lasting for Marsch, and a decision could come soon.

That is according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who has revealed that Victor Orta has drawn up a shortlist of candidates to replace Marsch:

The identities of the managers who feature on that shortlist remain a mystery, but it could be a large step towards Leeds changing the man in the dugout.
