‘I’m told’: Fabrizio Romano says ‘super talented’ £150k-a-week Chelsea player could yet leave in January
Fabrizio Romano has shared that Christian Pulisic could yet leave Chelsea before the January transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
Pulisic, who has started the last three consecutive Premier League games, may still exit Stamford Bridge in the near future.
The £150,000-a-week winger is getting a run in the side post-World Cup. Unfortunately, he was forced off injured in Thursday’s league defeat against Manchester City.
His return of one goal in 21 Blues appearances this season does highlight the kind of issues he’s had in west London when it comes to form.
Pulisic could leave Chelsea
According to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Pulisic may be on the move this window.
He explains that the 24-year-old could move on if Chelsea do sign a new wide player in January.
This speculation coincides with The Sun claiming Shakhtar Donetsk left-winger Mykhaylo Mudryk may want join Chelsea amid interest.
When discussing Pulisic’s future, Romano told Caught Offside: “At the moment, there is nothing concrete or advanced, but I’m told Christian Pulisic could leave the club in January if Chelsea bring in a new winger.
“Of course, it depends on clubs making offers and many other factors – as of now it’s a scenario and not a negotiation.”
Described as “super talented” by Leeds United’s Tyler Adams, Pulisic’s World Cup form hasn’t quite translated over to the Premier League since he returned to Chelsea colours.
Pulisic, along with most of the Chelsea forwards, are massively below par right now with their displays.
It does feel like his time at the Bridge may come to a natural conclusion because things have quietened, but are the Blues prepared to offload in January?
